Waste treatment at pulp mill that produces paper towels, toilet paper, and writing papers. Over the years, this plant has committed innumerable egregious violations of the environment: moved the actual plant to avoid cleanup costs, deposited a layer of sludge up to 20 feet thick on the bottom of Lake Champlain, spilled 8 tons of dioxin-laced sludge in an estuary to the lake, and burned tires to power the plant.
