ARTE Television will broadcast tonight the opening concert of the Ludwigsburg Schlossfestspiele which addresses the interplay between man and nature. The landscape idyll in Beethoven's Pastoral collides with Gustav Mahler's Song of the Earth, in dialogue with a film by J Henry Fair. The musical director is Oksana Lyniv, already a star in the generation of young female conductors. Anna Larsson (alto) and Christian Elsner (tenor) sing.
