Fragile Coastal Peninsula Under Development Threat
CSS provides crucial habitat for many nesting and roosting birds, some among our most threatened or endangered--least terns, American oystercatchers, black skimmers, piping plovers, Wilson's plovers, royal terns, among others. Loggerhead sea turtles nest here, too, and bottle-nose dolphins strand-feed, a specular fishing technique which takes place in few places in the world.
