Shipping Container Trailer Beds at Houston Harbor

Houston, Texas

The increased worldwide interconnectedness that has evolved to move products to markets in the cheapest way has significant environmental impact, the most obvious being a direct and significant climate change contribution from the fossil fuels burned. Lost jobs are a real consequence of moving production to distant places where labor is cheaper, and when the jobs leave, the ripple effects of money spent in the community means that the other local industries are threatened. Still more abstract, but real, is the consequence of moving production to a locale with lower environmental regulation.
