In the early 1960s, ConEd proposed to build a giant power plant and dynamiting away Storm King Mountain. This galvanized a coalition of concerned citizens from a variety of strata to coalesce their efforts in opposition, which many have said was the beginning of the contemporary environmental movement in the USA.

For years Catskill Mountainkeeper has fought to protect our precious water resources. I am proud to partner with them in their battles, and support them financially. These pictures illustrate some of their historic victories. So many thanks to Lighthawk for flight support!

This is another one-of-a-kind image. This was our first shoot of hydro-fracking, and we saw this waste pit next to a drill rig, circled it numerous times and got the image, thanks to my great friend, Lighthawk Bob Keller. This flight was particularly fruitful due to the extensive knowledge on the issue of Catskill Mountainkeeper Wes Gillingham who was with us.
